Beachside Eastbourne Apartments - Frequently Asked Questions
ARE YOU OPEN
Yes, as of 4th July we have opened again. The health, safety and security of our guests is our highest priority and we have implemented new procedures and measures based on government advice, to provide reassurance that our apartments are as safe as possible. Please click here for our dedicated Covid-19 page, which explains in more detail all of the measures we have taken to reduce the risk of spreading the Corona virus
HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION
To check the availability of our Eastbourne apartments or to make an online reservation, please click here. Alternatively, you can call us on 01323 646 444.
Our self-catering accommodation in Eastbourne has been designed to comfortably accommodate two adults and prices are based on 2 people sharing and include all water, electricity, gas, bed linen and towels. We also provide free and unrestricted Wi-Fi. There are no hidden extras.
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS
For all bookings we require a non-returnable deposit of £100, per week, per apartment, which is payable at the time of reservation. The outstanding balance is due no later than 30 days before the agreed arrival date. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer. For reservations made within 4 weeks of the arrival date, full payment is required at the time of booking. All international payments must be sent to our bank in Great British Pounds (GBP) and any bank charges incurred to accept the payment will be charged back to the guest. For these reasons, and to avoid the high fees charged by banks to send and receive money in different currencies, we highly recommend our international guests transfer money via Xoom (a company owned by Paypal) or, other similar companies such as TransferWise.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY
If a booking is cancelled less than 30 days before the arrival date, then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made. If a booking is cancelled less than 14 days before the arrival date, then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made. In the event of a no show or a booking reduction (after the arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.
For these reasons and especially in light of the recent Covid-19 pandemic, we strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance. This is inexpensive, widely available and gives you the peace of mind that you will get all your money back should you ever need to cancel your holiday. If you choose not to take out appropriate insurance, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
Please note: We are not insured or able to issue refunds outside of our Terms and Conditions
We will only cancel your stay if your accommodation were unavailable for reasons beyond our control, e.g. another government lockdown. We would attempt to change your reservation dates, or offer alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for your stay at Beachside. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
WHAT TIME CAN I CHECK-IN
Your accommodation will be available to you from 4pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please try not to arrive before this time as we will still be busy preparing your accommodation and won't be around to welcome you. If you do arrive in Eastbourne before this time and would like to drop off any bags, then we can safely store these until your apartment is ready.
WHAT TIME CAN I CHECK-OUT
Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Please try to leave the accommodation as clean as possible bearing in mind that other guests will be arriving that day. You are requested to leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition. This includes washing up, placing all rubbish in outside bins and ensuring the oven, grill and microwave are clean and free from grease.
WHERE CAN I PARK
All of the roads surrounding Beachside – apart from the seafront itself - offer free and unrestricted parking and we use these ourselves on a daily basis. We recommend Cambridge Rd. Rylestone Rd and Halton Rd. Please note they can get particularly busy during the summer months, especially on hot sunny days, so our top tip is to look for Hanover Rd just off Latymer Rd. Alternatively, there is also a public car park at Treasure Island which is 3 minutes' walk away.
WHAT IS ACCESSIBILITY LIKE
There are seven steps from the street to our front door; so unfortunately, unless the wheelchair is collapsible, access is limited. Our ground floor Apartment No.1 may be suitable for less mobile guests, please telephone for more information.
Apartments No. 2 and No. 3 are on the first floor and there are approximately 16 stairs separated by a half landing. Apartments No.4 and No. 5 are on the second floor and again there are approximately 16 stairs separated by a half landing. Stairways are of a standard width and there are handrails from the ground floor all the way up to the second floor.
DO YOU ALLOW ADDITIONAL GUESTS
All of our Eastbourne self-catering holiday apartments have been designed to comfortably accommodate two adults and rental charges are per apartment and based on two people sharing. Additional persons are very welcome to stay as long as we are told at the time of booking. For a charge of £10 per person, per night, we can provide extra linen and towels and prepare either a pull-down wall-bed, a Jay-Be fold-away bed or a sofa bed. The type of bed is dependent on which apartment is being booked and is stated in the apartment's description on this website.
DO YOU ALLOW CHILDREN
Regrettably, our apartments are not suitable for young children
DO YOU ACCEPT PETS
Sorry but we do not allow pets at Beachside.
WHAT IS YOUR SMOKING POLICY
For the comfort of all our guests there is strictly no smoking in any of our Eastbourne apartments
