Beachside Eastbourne - Booking Terms and Conditions

Contract

When you make a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email, to the email address you provide on the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is then confirmed by us, via email or post, and only once a payment has been received. Bookings will remain provisional for up to 1 week to allow payment to be made. The person who completes the booking certifies that they are over eighteen years of age and are authorised to agree to all Terms and Conditions on behalf of all persons staying at Beachside, including those substituted or added later. They also agree to take responsibility for the party occupying the apartment, and to notify the Owners if they are not a member of the party.

Prices

The price of our self-catering Eastbourne accommodation is based on 2 people sharing and includes all water, electricity, gas, bed linen and towels. We also supply free and unrestricted Wi-Fi. There are no hidden extras. If more than two people are staying in an apartment then we can supply and prepare an extra bed, with more linen and towels, at a cost of £10 per person, per night.

Bookings and Payments

For all bookings we require a non-returnable deposit of £100, per week, per apartment, which is payable at the time of reservation. The outstanding balance is due no later than 30 days before the agreed arrival date. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer. For reservations made within 4 weeks of the arrival date, full payment is needed at the time of booking. All international payments must be sent to our bank in Great British Pounds (GBP) and any bank charges incurred to accept the payment will be charged back to the guest. For these reasons, and to avoid the high fees charged by banks to send and receive money in different currencies, we highly recommend our international guests transfer money via Xoom (a company owned by PayPal) or other similar companies such as TransferWise.

Cancellation

If a booking is cancelled less than 30 days before the arrival date, then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made. If a booking is cancelled less than 14 days before the arrival date, then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made. In case of a no show or a booking reduction (after the arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

For these reasons and especially considering the recent Covid-19 pandemic, we strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance. This is inexpensive, widely available and gives you the peace of mind that you will get all your money back should you ever need to cancel your holiday. If you choose not to take out proper insurance then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.

Please note: We are not insured or able to issue refunds outside of our Terms and Conditions

Non-Availability of Accommodation

We will only cancel your stay if your accommodation were unavailable for reasons beyond our control, e.g., another Government lockdown. We would try to change your reservation dates, or offer alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for your stay at Beachside. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival

Your accommodation will be available to you from 4pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please try not to arrive before this as we will still be busy preparing your accommodation and won't be around to welcome you. If you do arrive in Eastbourne before 4pm and would like to drop off any bags, then we can safely store these until your apartment is ready.

Departure

Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Please try to leave the accommodation as clean as possible bearing in mind that other guests will be arriving that day. You are requested to leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition. This includes washing up, placing all rubbish in outside bins and ensuring the oven, grill and microwave are clean and free from grease.

Care of the Property

You are responsible for keeping the properties and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in or on the premises and in the same state of repair and condition as they were found at the start of your stay. You are responsible and liable for any loss, breakage or damage which you cause to the accommodation and its contents. Please report these instances as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant; and we may make an added charge if you did not report this before your departure.

Liability

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party, or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves, or our employees, or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Access to Property

The property owner or their representative shall be allowed access at any reasonable time during the occupancy should an emergency or problem arise that require the attention of the owner. The owner will always try and consult the guest prior to entering the apartment.

Smoking and Candles

Smoking and candles are strictly forbidden within all our apartments. Ashtrays can be provided on request for smoking outside.

Pets

We love animals but pets are not allowed to stay in our apartments
