Eastbourne Walks, Rambling and Cycling
Nestled at the edge of the South Downs National Park, there are plenty of Eastbourne walks, rambling and cycling routes to discover.
As our self catering Eastbourne guest house is located on the seafront, you only need to step outside our front door to be on the Coastal Cultural Trail; 18 miles of coastline that links the Towner Art Gallery in Eastbourne, the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill and the Jerwood Gallery in Hastings. You can choose to walk or cycle along the trail. For more information we we would recommend downloading the Coastal Culture Trail map and guide from here.
Another favourite Eastbourne walk is the Cuckoo Trail which is a countryside walk running from Eastbourne to Heathfield that follows the old Cuckoo Line railway track. Approximately 14 miles in length it is mostly traffic free and suitable for walkers and cyclists of all ages.
For more information please see:
Then there is of course the South Downs National Park which has over 3,300km of footpaths, bridleways and byways. With more routes here than in any other UK National Park, there is something for everyone. For cycle rides, walking routes and other attractions you can download the South Downs Discovery map from here.
