Beachside Eastbourne - Booking Terms and Conditions

When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email, to the email address you provide on the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed by us via email and once a payment has been received. Bookings will remain provisional for up to 1 week to allow payment to be made.

The person who completes the booking certifies that they are over eighteen years of age and are authorised to agree to all Terms and Conditions, on behalf of all persons staying at Beachside, including those substituted or added at a later date. They also agree to take responsibility for the party occupying the apartment, and to notify the Owners if they are not a member of the party.

The price of our self catering Eastbourne accommodation is based on 2 people sharing and includes all electricity, gas, linen and towels; we also provide free and unrestricted WiFi. There are no hidden extras.

If more than two people are staying in an apartment – e.g. children over 2 years old or a third adult - then we can supply and prepare an extra bed, with additional linen and towels, at a cost of £10 per person, per night. For babies (0-2 years) we can provide a travel cot with bed linen for £10 per week, or part thereof.

Bookings and Payments

For all bookings we require a non-returnable deposit of £100, per week, per apartment, which is payable at the time of reservation. The outstanding balance is due no later than 30 days before the agreed arrival date. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer. For reservations made within 4 weeks of the arrival date, full payment is required at the time of booking. All international payments must be sent to our bank in Great British Pounds (GBP) and not a guest's home currency. If our bank receives a payment that is not in GBP, then guests will be responsible for paying any additional fees charged. To avoid the high fees charged by banks to send and receive money we recommend our international guests use a service called TransferWise.

If a booking is cancelled less than 30 days before the arrival date then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made. If a booking is cancelled less than 14 days before the arrival date then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made. In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

For these reasons we strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.

Non-Availability of Accommodation

We would only ever cancel your stay if your accommodation was unavailable due to reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the stay. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Your accommodation will be available to you from 3pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please try not to arrive before this time as we will still be busy preparing your accommodation and won't be around to welcome you.  If you do arrive in Eastbourne before this time and would like to drop off any bags, then we can safely store these until your apartment is ready.

Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Please try to leave the accommodation as clean as possible bearing in mind that other guests will be arriving that day.  Please come and say goodbye!

Damages and Breakages

You are responsible for keeping the properties and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in or on the premises and in the same state of repair and condition as they were found at the start of your stay. You are responsible and liable for any loss, breakage or damage which you cause to the accommodation and its contents. Please report these instances as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant; and we may make an additional charge if you did not report this before your departure.

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party, or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves, or our employees, or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Access to Property

The property owner or their representative shall be allowed access at any reasonable time during the occupancy should an emergency or problem arise that require the attention of the owner. The owner shall consult the guest prior to entering the apartment.

Smoking is not permitted within our apartments. Ashtrays can be provided on request for smoking outside.

We love animals but pets are not permitted to stay in our apartments
